A PHILOSOPHY OF PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY

A PERSONAL COMMITMENT
The LaWorthy™
Declaration
A Personal Commitment to Reflection,
Accountability & Becoming
I begin with the person in the mirror.
I choose to honestly examine who I am, how I present myself,
and who I am becoming. I ask myself:
“What belongs to me?”
I commit to owning my choices, responses, boundaries, patterns,
direction, and growth, without taking responsibility for
what belongs to others. What belongs to others remains theirs.
I will take ownership of what is mine.
I will face reality honestly, even when it tests my expectations.
I will examine my patterns, learn from experience,
acknowledge mistakes, and make different choices when growth requires it.
When my actions cause harm, I will acknowledge
the impact and take responsibility.
I will make amends where I can, which may include offering a
sincere apology, listening to how my actions affected others,
and restoring trust through concrete steps.
I will follow through with changed behavior.
I will approach self-reflection with honesty and grace.
I will use these realizations to become more aware, intentional, accountable,
and consistent with the person I intend to be.
I will pursue character over appearance, integrity instead of
convenience, and growth over avoidance.
I will pay attention to actions, patterns, consistency,
and character, including my own.
I recognize that I cannot choose accountability for others,
but I can choose it for myself.
I will not demand from others a standard I am unwilling to
examine within myself.
I will ask:
“Am I living the standard I expect?”
I will make intentional choices about what I accept,
what I change, whom I allow into my life, the boundaries I set,
and the direction I pursue.
I will honor my worth and the worth of others.
I will speak and act with care, and respect the boundaries
necessary for my well-being.
I will not require perfection from myself, but I will require participation
in my individual growth.
When I fall short, I will acknowledge it, take responsibility,
learn, and begin again. My promise will be evident in what I do next.
I will work to make my actions worthy of the trust people place in me.
I will live with purpose, lead with integrity,
pursue continual growth and leave a meaningful legacy.
I will look in the mirror.
Ask what belongs to Me.
Own what is Mine.
Release what is Not.
Learn from what is Revelaed.
Choose my direction Intentionally.
Strengthen my Character and
Continue Becoming.
